Eastern Region Conference The Eastern Region Conference to be held on Saturday February 9th at the Royal Harwich Yacht Club. This year the conference is for Race Management and Judges.

NOR OK Open Championship A Notice of Race has been posted for the International OK Dinghy Open Meeting to be held at the club 31st May and 1st June 2008.

Cruisers - Joint Sailing Instructions Published The Joint sailing committee of DSC and WMYC have released Sailing Instructions for the 2008 Season with an appendix for Mersea Spring Points Series.

OK Open - Sailing Instructions Published Sailing Instructions have been released for the OK International Open Meeting to be held at Dabchicks on 31st May and 1st June 2008.

Sunset Series is FULL Following a very successful registration evening the Sunset Series is oversubscribed and for those who missed registration it is now too late. Although it is unlikely everyone will turn up on the same night and there will be some who fall away, the organisers will still have full fleets to cope with and therefore further entries will be declined.

15 Minutes of Fame You are invited to participate in a dinghy race starting 1pm 5th May and be on prime time telly! Anglia are making a prime time programme around some young inner city teenagers who will be arriving on the Cirdan Trust boat "Duet" with 3 camera crews. "Duet" will be the start boat in the Quarters and it will be an open event for dinghies.

Sunset Series Dinghy Inspection The Sunset Series Dinghy Inspection will take place at 12 Noon in the Dinghy Park at DSC on 3rd May 2008, immediately after the morning coaching. As a guide, the dinghy inspection checklist can be found on the Sunset Series web page.

Update: 15 Minutes of Fame For those budding Movie and Sailing stars entering the Cirdan Challenge Dinghy race on Monday 5th May, Anglia TV will be filming the Event for airing on prime time TV in September - Plenty of time to find yourself an agent ;-)
